It’s always a joy to see young women doing what they love and following their dreams. So when my friend and owner of Sanga Wali, Lica Cissé, wanted to collaborate, it was a definite yes. Sanga Wali which means fashion in Mandinka is a collection of one of a kind African-inspired jewelry that makes you feel like royalty. What I especially enjoy about the brand is the importance placed on educating its costumers on the traditions and heritage of the people throughout the vast countries in Africa. Styling Sanga Wali was so much fun and you should definitely get your hands on one of these gems sooner than later.
For the look, I styled the jewelry around two main outfits. I added a blazer and a Fanm Djanm headwrap on occasion to show how the jewelry could be worn in a variety of ways with different items of clothing. Incorporating color and print into the two outfits was one of my favorite parts of styling these looks because it helped me step outside my usual color palette. But the best part was seeing how well those two elements complimented the jewelry and tied everything together. Peep below for some fun ways to rock your Sanga Wali pieces.
