I love a good trend report because it excites me to see the breakdown of what fashion lovers naturally gravitate towards each season. Sometimes the trends are a bore and leave you anticipating the day they’ll disappear and other times, like this season, you wish they’ll be around for a very long time. The latter is how I feel about the 2019 spring trends currently making waves. I think most of us are so in love with this season’s fads because they’re mostly more like wardrobe staples instead of outlandish trends that’ll only be relevant for a short bit. If you’re absolutely obsessed with the current fashion vibe happening for spring summer, get into the 7 spring trends that’ll have you killing it all season long. And P.S. you probably won’t have to buy anything new since you more than likely already own a few!

EARTHLY BEIGE TONES

Since the beginning of spring, we’ve been having a fifty shades of beige moment that I’m absolutely obsessed with. This trend is so effortlessly chic that investing in only one beige piece this season will change your whole fashion game for the better. Wear it casually with a white tee and sleek trousers like I did or go full on dressy with a monochrome beige look!

ORANGE (COLOR)

Color will always be in for spring summer. But this season orange is taking center stage. I guess orange is to spring what rustic mustard is to fall and winter this season. Either way, I’m loving this trend (surprise surprise 🙂 ) and infusing orange or any other bright colors into your wardrobe is such a great way to add some life and fun into your everyday look. If color scares you a bit, take baby steps and try out the trend in an accessory as opposed to wearing a full on orange piece.

SHORT + SKIRT SUITS

Power suiting is here to stay and I hope it never goes away! After all us, women always need those pieces in our wardrobe to keep us feeling bossy and in charge. This season, a new take on the power suit has emerged and it’s the short / skirt suit. These two-piece numbers are the cutest thing and such a great way to showcase a little quirk but still mean business. And the best part about suits is the mix and matching that you can do with them. So even if you don’t own a short / skirt suit you can create your own like I did with separates you already own in your closet.

BLACK + WHITE

Black and white is a classic that’ll be here forever. But it’s great to see the combo getting a little more shine for spring summer. I love that you can also create a little black and white action with pieces you already own or go out and get a ready made black and white piece that come in a wide range of dresses and separates.

LEATHER SEPARATES

I’ve also worn my leather pants and jackets all year round so it’s so exciting to see that leather separates are a thing for spring summer. No one is going to judge me for wearing my leather shorts in the middle of summer anymore. For this trend, the colored leather pieces are especially beautiful and so well made! I can’t get enough whenever I see someone killing it in this trend. I can’t wait to get my hands on my very own pair of leather separates.

ZEBRA PRINT (ANIMAL PRINT)

We’ve done leopard and tiger print for years but this time around we’re going zebra! It’s refreshing to see a new take on animal print come about and I’ve been loving the selections I’ve been seeing in store particularly from H&M’s latest collection. Every piece is literally so good and I can’t get enough so I’ve linked them all below for you to get in on the goods too!

NEON

This trend has been the most polarizing of all of them this season. Some of us love it and some of us are ready to move on to something else. I’m kind of in the middle with one but when it’s pulled off the right way it just looks too good! I know neon could be a little jarring so if this is a little out there for you, start with a neon shoe, sweater, or mini bag and work your way up!
