One of my favorite things about the summer 2024 fashion trends, is that wearable clothes are back. Certainly dressier pieces has its place, but nothing beats well-made basics and closet essentials. That’s exactly what was served up by a wide range of designers this season. With divine coats and trousers at The Row and even better dresses and separates at Ferragamo, our wardrobes will be a joy to shop for seasons to come.

Once the summer rolls around it’s always time to break out the raffia bags. This season, designers further cemented the summer staple with Prada presenting their iterations of Rafia Bags that’s been everywhere. Some like Bottega, and LITKOVSKA even incorporated raffia into this ready-to-wear designs.

FRINGE 2.0

Fringe can often read cheap, the the editons that we got this season are something different. Elevated versions of fringe walked the runways at Prada, Aknvas and more, proving that movement fringe brings can be elegant.

Metallics for summer yes please. This season shimmer has taken on a more elegant look. Think the sequined skirts and tops at 16Arlington, peplum corseted dresses Sarah Burton’s last McQueen’s show, and warrior princess chainmail at Rabanne.

LASER CUTS

This season precised laser cuts was a major motif seen throughout the collections. Most notably at Valentino who showed laser cut mini dress in white, red, and black that resembled a doily but more modern. The silhouettes were definitely breath-takers and a fan favorite of the season. A trend of sure that many fashion lovers will be rushing to wear for spring summer.

Sheer took on a new shape this season creating enchanting silhouettes at Prada and Jacquemus. For SS24 many designers, layered and draped the material versus using just one layer which created dresses and separates that felt whimsical yet wearable.
