And just like that, another NYFW has gone down in the books! Every year that I attend is like a special treat for me because I remember dreaming of going to the shows and now I get to live that dream time and time again. This season was a little slower paced than my prior seasons attending but it was still a good time nonetheless! I’m always appreciative to be a part of the buzz, stalk all the street style, and witness designers creations come to life first hand! Of course, it’s also a time for me to break out the best looks so I’ve documented each one in my little style diary. I hope these looks inspire some outfits ideas for the upcoming season but more importantly enjoy the ride through my NYFW!
Naturally Curly’s Texture on the Runway
Texture on the Runway kick-started my Fashion Week in the best way possible! The event is a celebration of natural hair and sisterhood where various natural hair companies showcase natural hairstyles and their newest product offerings. It was a great time to catch up with some of my fave blogger babes and check out the goods on and off the runway. For the look, I chose a simple but effective outfit. To take my slip dress from day to night I added some black booties and hoop earrings to elevate the look. This look kept me comfortable yet stylish all night long.

Chromat
As always, I look forward to the Chromat show each season. It’s always such a fun high energy show from the designs to all the way to the playlist and not to mention the casting! Chromat has been championing diverse casting from its inception and this year they took it to a whole new level with babes like Mama Cax owning the runway! I styled a fun little look to match the vibes that Chromat always brings for the show. I went for a night-out look with my Vetiver shirt dress worn as a shirt tucked into my green mini skirt. To add something a little unexpected, I threw on my belt bag and the leopard kitten heels.

Yajun
For my final NYFW day, I wanted to go out with a bang and my Vetiver Love Is The Drug slip dress helped me do just that. It unexpectedly got a bit chilly that day but I took it as an opportunity to amp up my style. To make the look more special, I threw on my biker leather jacket and gathered the sleeves for a more edgy look. As a finishing touch, I wore my fave Poppy Lissiman sunnies which brought together the whole feeling of the look. As for the show, I really enjoyed the layering and deconstructed looks Yajun presented this season. It was a great show to end my season because it left me feeling inspired and excited to try my own interpretations of the styling seen in the collection!

This about sums up my Fashion Week. Always in a rush, always a blur, but always a good time! Until next season!
