The excitement and energy that hijacks the city during NYFW easily make it one of my favorite times of the year. This time around, it got even sweeter as I had the pleasure of shooting with Barneys New York for their NYFW street style story up on their editorial site The Window. I and four other beauties hit the streets to be street styled in Barney’s latest fall New York Collection and the experience was nothing short of thrilling!
From the styling to the hair and makeup, the Barneys team put together some killer looks that effortlessly attracted swarms of photographers hanging outside the shows. I’ve been street styled before, but never on this level. While sashaying around the Lower East Side, photographers zeroed in on me to get the best shots. I can still hear the cameras’ shutter sounds relentlessly going off one after the other. The experience was insane but in the best way! I guess that’s how celebs and major blogger babes feel heading to the shows.
As for the fit, I rocked a cute and quirky look that I absolutely loved! Being styled by someone took me out of my comfort zone, which was fun because I got to experiment with something a little different. Rocking a ‘frohawk’ and floral tie-neck shirt isn’t something I would usually go for, but I adored the combo. And we can’t forget about the mink fur bucket bag I’m still dreaming about! It’s the cutest thing ever and added such a great pop of color to the outfit. Altogether, this look is super feminine and comfortable, a combo you can’t go wrong with during Fashion Week.
Sure enough, I made it onto some major publications best street style lists. Scroll through and click the photos to see some of my fave street style shots captured from the sweet mayhem. You can also catch the full story here.
Major thanks to the Barneys New York team for letting me be a part of this experience!
