Self-love and being proud of who you are are two of the best gifts you could ever give to yourself. That’s why I’m so in love with Missguided’s latest campaign that’s all about celebrating individuality and unapologetically loving yourself. To join the excitement I’m sharing why I love myself and why it’s important for you to do the same. Here’s my take: I’m just a Trini girl obsessed with clothes, good vibes and being myself. I love being me because I’m petite but powerful. I adore being a free spirit, my spontaneity, and ability to see the good in every outcome. To me, life is meant to be enjoyable and carried out to the fullest. Besides no one is going to live your best life for you right? But even more important than that, it’s crucial to love yourself because you need your own love before anyone else’s. It’s the only way to teach the world how to love you. And as Missguided would say #KEEPONBEINGYOU, It’s a really great look!
With party season right around the corner, I kept the look fun and festive. Plus, I’ve been obsessing over monochrome looks lately so I took this campaign as the perfect opportunity to break out the head to toe lilac. To highlight the party vibe I grabbed this amazing faux fur jacket that I adore so much! Just looking at it lifts my mood and wearing it feels even better. For the fall/winter season it’s a great statement piece to have in your wardrobe. Especially for those days when you’re feeling playful and bold. To keep the monochrome vibe going I paired this vinyl lilac skirt with the fur to show a little leg. Besides nothing says party time like showing a bit of skin. For the top and boots, I went with white and grey to complement the all over lilac. Both the bodysuit and boots balance out the look and add as a point of contrast while pulling the outfit together. To finish I threw on some big gold hoops, fluffed my hair, and was out to the self-love party.
