A capsule wardrobe, generally a closet of a limited selection of pieces that can be easily be mixed and matched with one another to create an infinite amount of outfit combinations, is the best way to go for this time of year for two reason. It solves the dreaded “what to wear?” question. And two it keeps you prepared with all the key pieces possibly needed for the season should any event arise. Before going out to create a holiday capsule wardrobe, consider your lifestyle and your upcoming events. After making a mental or physical note of both factors, start building your wardrobe around those two concepts. Due to these two elements, your capsule wardrobe may look different from others and that’s completely normal and okay. Remember that your capsule closet is meant to be totally customized to you and your lifestyle. To get an even clearer guide on the direction you should be going in, make a list of all the events you have to attend and that would provide context on the pieces you need to purchase. Next consider your lifestyle. For example, if you’re a WFH babe, then you may not need as much heels and sequins in your line up. as someone in the 9-5 corporate field. But if you are, you may need a few polished dresses in your holiday wardrobe selects. It all defends on who you are and where you’re going.
GET THE HOLIDAY WARDROBE ESSENTIALS
Even though you should create your capsule wardrobe curated to you, there are still a few essential items each holiday capsule wardrobe should have. These are the polished coat and blazer for outerwear and layering. The stunning blouse, statement top or sweater.
