I often go through fashion phases. Once I fall in love with one style I kind of have to repeat it in every single variation until I’m fed up and move on to something else. In college, that phase was crop tops, crop tops, crop tops and high waisted jeans until owned so many of them that I garnered a collection that I still have today. No shame btw. I’m still kind of stuck on high waisted jeans, but at least I’ve given crop tops a break. At the moment, another style phase has taken over and now I’m all about suits, suits, suits, and I still can’t seem to kick monochrome. Naturally, for this look, I decided to combine the best of both worlds with this monochrome mint green Missguided suit.
My fave part of this fit is the fresh mint green palette. It was so refreshing to step outside of my comfort zone and wear a color I’ve never experimented with before. Plus, rocking it made me feel like such a boss, but a cool fun one. To stay within the pastel tones of the look, I styled my suit with a white slogan tee with red lettering to add a pop of color and keep the casual/ formal vibe going. I smartened back up the look by adding my go-to white kitten heels and finished by popping on my fave red lips. The balance between casual and formal makes this look a great fit for a fashion event or for those times when you just want to be extra and get dressed to the nines for no reason. It’s all fair game to me. Now go serve bossy chic wherever you see fit!
If you want more suit styling inspiration, check out this contrast stitch suit I fixed up a few weeks ago. Told you this fashion phase is real.
