SHOULDER PADS
Quite possibly the biggest trend of the season, shoulder pads are omnipresent on the style scene at this point. But no complaining over here! You can find the trend in many forms from t-shirts to structured/ cozy sweaters. If you’re a little intimated by this look wear it casually with a pair of jeans to ease yourself into the style. If you’re going for a bolder look, style the trend with a slightly flared bottom trouser for an elevated chic look.
LEATHER WORK
We all know that leather and fall go and in hand. But this season leather is taking a new shape! We can find this trend in just about any product on the market. Ie. Tops, bottom, bags etc. The most popular places we’re seeing them show up are in stunning leather shirts or long-length shorts. The best part about owning this trend is the versatility and longevity it’s going to give your wardrobe. Long after the fad is gone, you’ll still be able to wear these pieces because, to me, leather is a forever and staple piece in the fall winter.
CUTOUT SWEATERS
Gone are the days where your knits or sweaters were drab. This season the knits that retailers and designer alike have been churning out are stunning! Many of them feature these sleek cut outs that instantly give you a polished chic look. These types of knits are a great go-to pieces that will always make you stand out on a night out or even during the day. It’s the one special piece in your wardrobe that you know will always gain you major style points.
CHOCOLATE BROWN
Chocolate brown is hands down the color of the season. There’s no debating it. This luxe color brings richness and life to any outfit whether you’re wearing a chocolate brown separate or monochrome look. Try this look with a sleek knit dress and boots or ease your way into the trend with a stunning pair of brown shoes or accessory.
NEAUTRALS
Another one of those fall staples morphed into an elevated trend are neutrals. This season beiges, caramels, blacks, and tans are all at play in everything ranging from coats to trousers. The best part is that we all own something neutral so you can try this trend without having to spend a dime on something new. If you’re looking to get in on this one, separates like trousers or lush knits and or coats are always stunning in a neutrals.
RIBBED KNITS
To me knits always give that understated cool and sexy vibe because they hug you in all the right places and are always so effortless. They’s also super easy to wear and can be styled with just about anything in your wardrobe. For an elevated casual day look wear a knitted sleeveless top with a knitted skirt and some over-the-knee boots. Or go for a more elegant look at night with a knitted dress and square-toe heels.
SUITING
For the past few seasons suiting have been making waves, but this year they going in a whole other direction that we can get behind. Instead of the traditional blazer and pant look, we’re seeing suits popping out with cropped and wrapped blazers. The trousers are also being replaced with mini skirts, and cropped and long-length shorts. There are even a few options with unexpected cutouts that are taking it up a notch. There’s undoubtedly a suit for everyone on the market these days even for the unconventional babes.
KNIT SETS
Nothing beats a well-made quality knit. And it’s even better when it comes in a pair! Knit-sets, another trend that have been going strong, has come back with an even bigger resurgence this year. It’s a great to-go outfit to wear when you’re having doubts about what to wear as 9 times out of 10 it’s going to make you look stunning and put together.
CHUNKY SOLE BOOTS
Like shoulder pads, chunky sole boots are one of the biggest fall 2020 fashion trends of the season. And personally I’m so happy to see them return because they bring back so much nostalgic feelings of combat-boot era I used to love. Try this trend in an ankle book style or take it up a notch with knee-high style.
MUTED BLUES AND GREENS
Since last fall muted pistachio and pastel powder blue have been making waves. They’re kind of like sister colors and can be seen in just about every item on the market. These hues are particularly stunning on chunky knitted sweaters and dresses. Get into this trend with a cute muted blue or green mini bag or tee.
