Name a better duo than a cute shirt with a powerful message. Okay, maybe there are a few out there that can top it, but it’s a pretty cool thing when fashion is coupled with a positive message. That’s why when I discovered The C-Project ran by two-sister babes, Mas & Nisah, I fell in love with the story behind the brand. The C-Project was born out of Mas’ triumphant battle with Cancer and Chemotherapy. The sisters, after enduring such daunting trials, started The C- Project as a way to turn pain into creativity and craft. Throughout Mas’ recovery she always tried to remember that though she had to be tough to endure, it was also important for her to remain kind to herself and those who were supporting her. To me, that’s a commendable quality to hold close especially when going through the worst. It’s inspiring that she was able to be so positive in such a time. It’s just a reminder that being “tough but kind” is something we should always aim to practice every day. It’s a powerful trait to possess because it really takes you through the toughest times and carries you far in life.
That’s why I plan on carrying my Project C tee with me for a long time to come. For the outfit, I wanted to keep it vibrant and casual like the t-shirt. I paired my two-tone jeans with the tee and my white boots to compliment the shirt. I don’t think I will ever be over this bold red color/trend so I had to grab my bright puffer to finish the look.
