The first signs of actual spring weather are finally here and I couldn’t be happier! In celebration of the amazing weather, I took to the rooftop of an apartment building in Brooklyn to shoot this look book. Totally unplanned, but it was the best coincidence of that day. I’ve seen some breathtaking views of NYC in my seven plus years of living here, but this one is next level. From the roof deck, you can see all of downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan in a way that I’ve never quite seen it. Being up there felt like someone unfolded the entire city for me to see.
What made this space even better is it served as the perfect backdrop for this look. I styled the fit around an amazing bell sleeve sweater from Zara to reflect the cheerful vibes I’ve been feeling since it warmed up. This cropped sweater is also a great choice for those spring days when it’s not cold but also not scorching hot. I’d even wear it during the summer because it’s cropped and the fabric is airy yet luxe. To keep the casual feel, I paired the sweater with this fun Isabel Marant jeans I’ve been wearing with literally everything! I styled them in a previous post, Call It Spring, if you want to see another way to wear these beauts. To finish, I pulled the look together with a pair of very red flats that I love so much. They’re extremely soft, comfortable, and they surely elevate any outfit. Besides, every fashion girl needs a pair of red flats in her wardrobe if you ask me.
