Tagwalk. Gucci FW24
New season, new color palette. To usher in the fall, we’re making a few wardrobe adjustments starting with color. And we needn’t look any further than the fall winter 24 runways and street style stars for inspiration. This season, a mixture of jewel-toned gems and brighter hues have ruled the runways, giving us the usual rich color staples we’re used to along with lighter pastels typically reserved for spring summer. It’s the best of both worlds that make for the chicest fall wardrobe. Peep below for the 6 of-the-moment color trends to wear to look fashion-forward this season.
BURGUNDY
Perhaps the color of the season, burgundy has left its mark this fall appearing in the majority of the FW24 runway shows. Seen at Gucci, Bottega Veneta and more, the rich merlot color exudes an elegance and richness that elevates any look. At the color to your outfit with a sleek boot, a chic handbag, or go full monochrome with a head to toe burgundy ensemble.
OLIVE GREEN
Another key color player on the runways this season was varying shades of olive green. Many designer sent full on monochrome renditions of the color down the runway most notably at YSL and Gucci. It’s definitely a must-have color that should be on your fall wishlist. Incorporate the color into your wardrobe with a chic every day bag, a stunning mini dress, or classic trouser.
CHOCOLATE BROWN
Nothing says fall more than a chic chocolate brown outfit. Plus, it’s probably one of the easiest color trends to incorporate into your fall wardrobe. Mostly seen on plush leather coats and knits on the runways, the deep color works for both outwear and sweaters. Try the trend on your next winter coat, suade chocolate brown handbag, or chunky cardigan.
PASTEL PINK
Barbie core pink is out, pastel pink is in. The pale pink ruled the runways appearing at cropped blazers at Christian Siriano to flowing midi dresses at Victoria Beckham. As a brighter hue, pastel pink is an unexpected choice for the fall and a great way to throw a wild card into your autumn wardrobe.
EGGSHELL
Eggshell is the new winter white. Instead of the typical white and beige tones we’re used to for fall, eggshell is the new fan favorite. It’s a great color to add brightness to your wardrobe that still has a luxurious quality. Jacquemus and the Row have nailed this color for the season presenting wardrobe staples such as luxe coats and dresses in the hue. Try a tailored coat or midi knit dress in eggshell this fall for an extra elevated look.
NAVY BLUE
Forgo black for navy this season. It’s just as chic and a refreshing color to add to the mix that’ll make all your outfits look instantly polished. Try the color in a sleek button down cardigan or tailored suit. It’s the most-suited color to wear from work to play and everything in between.
