The official start of summer is soon approaching and there’s no better way to celebrate than to style up some super cute summer outfits. Fortunately, this time around, I got to do such celebrations with Macy’s and a cool set of blogger babes. For the campaign, Macy’s challenged me and 19 other influencers to style three summer outfits centered around three main pieces, an I.N.C. off-the-shoulder top, a pair of Levi’s shorts, and an I.N.C. belt bag. Since I usually style my looks around a focal item it was cool to have someone else choose what that piece would be for me this time. Plus, it was fun seeing how my campaign mates interpreted the same pieces. Peep below to see how I met the challenge, plus find major style inspiration from three casual chic summer outfits. For the campaign, I styled my outfits around the theme of weekend looks to wear while out enjoying the city. With that in mind, I keep the looks casual yet dressy enough to swing by brunch, take a stroll through Brooklyn Bridge Park, or enjoy any other weekend-related events. For the first look, I broke out the summer whites to jazz up the shoulder top look. The white monochrome element of the outfit gives that crisp summer look we all want during this time. Plus, it was cool to step outside my comfort zone with the top choice. The off-the-shoulder top is not something I would usually go for, but I made it my own by adjusting the sleeves to make them shorter, adding some skorts and a pair of espadrille wedges. It’s the perfect weekend lunch look and I can’t wait to break apart the outfit to wear the pieces separately.
You could never go wrong with a great pair of jeans and a classic white t-shirt. I like to elevate this go-to look by adding some heels, sunnies, and a bright red lip. For the shoe option, I went with these leopard print heels from Marc Fisher. I especially love this pair because it adds texture and pattern to the outfit so it’s more than a plain white tee and some jean shorts. The chunky heel also makes it the perfect weekend shoes that’s comfortable enough to wear all day long. To add another element of interest I wore a pair of green-tinted cat eye sunnies from Vogue Eyewear. The shape and clear frames of the sunnies give the outfit a wider color palette that also elevates the look. I can definitely see this outfit being great for brunch or a busy fun-filled Saturday.
When styling the belt bag, I went for a Sunday wind-down type outfit. To me, nothing says easy breezy like a slip dress which is why it was the perfect choice for the belt bag. The super easy and comfortable slip paired with the belt bag makes a great match because they are both so effortless to wear. Plus, the bum bag holds all your essentials leaving you hands-free, which is such a relaxing feeling! I really adore this outfit because the tan belt bag and blush slip work so well together. I still can’t get enough of that color combo. To complete the comfy look, I added a pair of rose gold sandals from Steve Madden. This fit is definitely a look to rock to go out for your favorite dessert on a Sunday evening before heading back home to plan for the week ahead.
